Another all-Tommy night….I think there’s going to be a lot of these. He’s hard for me to RP properly. First, I keep dropping his accent and speech patterns. I still try to slip in a lot of Mafia lingo, but it’s like he wants to adopt a bit more of a cultured, intelligent tone. I feel like he’s actually a lot more intelligent than he wants people to think, but as he gets used to the TI crowd, his ‘mask’ slips more and more often. Second, he’s supposed to be a smooth, confident, slightly cocky ladies’ man. If you know me even a little, you know how completely opposite that is from my own personality.
However….he’s enormously fun to play. And this night was no exception. First, I got some good deals at the Black Market, and finished up putting Doctored Wounds sets in all his healing/regen powers for the 5% recharge bonus. Next, Tommy met up with Roulette, and revealed that he’d called her bluff and bought her a blue bikini. She was surprised, but rolled with it, showing it off to him in base later. Tommy approved. :D Then Junior showed up with a friend of his, Unchained Melodie.
Evidently, P’s player knew her from way back. Is there anyone she doesn’t know?? :P This was my first time meeting her, however, but it didn’t take long for me to really like her character. Mel’s character is engaging, teasing (but not overly so), and has a really fun brother/sister kind of chemistry with Junior that makes him even more interesting. Tommy liked her immediately, and they flirted during the course of the evening. In fact, Tommy invited her to dinner with him sometime, and she accepted.
In the course of the evening, we learned a bit about Roulette’s story thanks to Mel’s prodding, and Tommy gave the condensed version of his tale as well. It was a fun evening, despite me not being mentally at 100%.
